Nicolas Baker

Nicolas Baker

Founder

Nic specializes in working with attorneys and their clients, owners of closely held businesses, and families in the areas of insurance planning, investment management, and estate & legacy planning. Always keeping risk management and asset protection in mind, Nic helps his clients focus on the accumulation, protection, distribution and transfer of their wealth and assets.

With this narrow focus, Nic is able to understand the issues, goals and concerns of his clients and help them determine what they would like to accomplish from both a business and personal financial planning perspective. He then helps his clients to take action so that the job gets done.

Nic entered the financial industry after many years of running small businesses in a variety of industries including medical, janitorial, and martial arts. After juggling business operations, a family, and a grandmother with Alzheimer’s, he discovered he had a passion for helping other business owners and successful professionals accomplish their financial goals through proactive planning. His calling ever since has been to serve his clients with a truly integrated practice rooted in an understanding of their unique needs and how to serve them.

Nic lives in Albuquerque, NM with his wife, April, and three rambunctious kids. Bring up wine, martial arts, or travel and you will have a conversation on your hands.

Eric Kronk has worked in the Financial Services Industry since 1990. He is a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow, and is a past and current member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association, The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table*. Eric received his B.A. Honors degree from McGill University and his Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School.

Sonja Trujillo joined Syndicus Financial in 2021. Sonja manages Client Services, serving as primary point of contact for client service needs and new account openings.

Sonja is a native New Mexican, raised in Albuquerque, NM. She is the proud mom to two grown sons and grandma to one granddaughter. Prior to joining Syndicus Financial she worked in group benefits administration, with over five years in the insurance industry. Sonja enjoys DIY projects in her free time.

Sol has recently joined the financial industry, entering in the role of Analyst. Sol double majored at New Mexico State University, obtaining degrees in finance and economics while playing football for the university. He joined the industry in hopes of assisting people obtain their financial goals. On his free time, he participates in golf, pickleball, playing guitar, and snowboarding.

Eddie is a first-generation student at the University of New Mexico, currently taking classed in the financial field and set to graduate in December 2024. With a passion for helping individuals and providing guidance, Eddie is looking forward to pursuing a career in the finance industry, driven by the desire to make a positive impact on people's financial well-being. Beyond academics and professional aspirations, Eddie enjoys going to the gym, watching sports, and cherishing moments with friends and family.

Dominic is a Finance and Economics undergraduate at the University of New Mexico, who has worked with Syndicus Financial's settlements division since January 2024. Born and raised right here in the Land of Enchantment, he enjoys spending time in the gym, reading about current events, and is rekindling his love of the outdoors.

As part of the settlement team, Yolanda Dos Santos provides efficient customer service and builds a professional relationship with peers and clients. Since day one her attention to detail and willingness to work hard is what she strives for.

Yolanda is a military spouse and is currently stationed in Florida. In her spare time, she enjoys thrifting, trying new recipes, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
